The final report is to be approximately 3500 words long.
The report should consist of:
(i)
Title Page – author’s name & ID number, Construction Industry
Organisation Name, Title of the report, the unit number and name, the
department and university, the date of submission

Table of contents – sufficiently detailed to cover all aspects of the report
transparently
(iii) Summary
(iv) Introduction to the particular industry organisation, the organisational and
management structure of the industry organisation, and your involvement.
Introduction to the project/s. If you are involved in more than one, you need
to describe all of them. Outlines the structure of the report
(v) Your involvement (e.g. tendering, cost estimation, discussions) during the
period
(vi) The construction technology(s) used and the decisions which led to its
choice (s).
(vii) The types of contracts under which the projects are being undertaken
(viii) How construction costs are controlled and the nature of the financial
reporting.
(ix) Problems identified in project/s and how solved them
(x) Project management plan – show your involvement
(xi) Involvement of site meetings, recording of minutes of the meetings. Your
involvement in decisions making
(xii) Your role in site supervision
(xiii) OHS issues in the organisations. Site inductions you received
(xiv) Attach any relevant drawings, plans photos
(xv) Environmental management plan- How any environmental issues are
handled
(xvi) Conclusions-What you learnt, your comments on organisation
(xvii) Letter from the industry organisation states the length of time of your
employment and the activities and construction project (s) you were
involved
(xviii) Appendices
Any diagrams or photographs included must relate specifically to a particular point
made in the text and should preferably be included close to the relevant section. Do
not include photographs or drawings merely for decoration.
