INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Copy and paste the tables/charts at the end of this document into a new
document. Complete them thoroughly, including stages, ages at the beginning and end of each
stage, and major developmental progress in each stage. (Use the age ranges from the current
edition of your textbook. There are variations throughout other sources, but you will be graded
on accuracy based on your textbook since it is required for the course and is the single common
source of information for everyone in the class.) DO NOT quote anything or copy anything
directly from any source. All wording should be completely your own. (NOTE: That
includes definitions, as they are someone else’s words just like anything else.)
2. Use your reference charts to create a single timeline of human development from birth to
death. You should have a single timeline with markers for the beginnings and endings of the
stages of each of the theories/milestones below. Do not use separate timelines for each
theory. I want to see you integrate the information. You may use any method you would like to
present your information, as long as it is adequate to provide everything that is required in a
clear and thorough way. Some examples include, but are not limited to: a document, a video,
an online timeline maker, Prezi, PowerPoint, and many more.
3. What to turn in:
a.
If you create something that yields a link (such as a video, Google doc/slide, or online
timeline), copy and paste the link below your completed tables, include all references below the
link, and submit the single document.
b.
If you create something that yields its own file (such as PowerPoint or Word), copy the
tables and paste them to include them in the document you create with your timeline. For
example, copy and paste one table per slide at the end of your presentation in PowerPoint.
Remember to also include your references in your file, or I won’t be able to give credit for your
work!
4. Follow rules of ESWE and APA style when needed. Reference every source, no matter how
small the contribution to your work. You should have references for all sources used to
complete your tables and your timeline. Remember, even in presentations you should only
be using your own words!
